2005 - Present
In 2005 I co-founded Symbiosis Events, producing the semi-annual Symbiosis Gathering and other music and art-focused events in northern California. In the first several years I adopted multiple roles in the organization, creating the company's visual identity materials and marketing strategy in addition to developing a broad variety of procedures and logistics for managing the operations of the events. Over time I narrowed my focus to marketing, supplemented by an administrative position in the production team during the events.
My primary contributions have been conceptualizing and developing the brand identity and communications strategy, including graphic design, web development, advertising, public relations, and social media.
Currently I remain peripherally involved with the company, but I no longer engage in a full-time leadership role. I still enjoy taking on a production job during events, especially the dynamics of solving logistical and interpersonal challenges in real time.
